What if I don’t qualify for ECO Funding through the Benefits Route?
If no one within the household is in receipt of any benefits, then this does not mean you have to
miss out entirely, since First Time Central Heating Wales can still offer a funding route under the local authority ECO
Flexibility scheme. This scheme is based on the health & and well-being of the occupants of the
household and the energy efficiency of the property.
Households who are living on a low income and are considered vulnerable to the effects of living in
a cold home, could therefore be eligible for assistance under the Affordable Warmth Scheme. Each
local authority has its own criteria for eligibility.
